Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is a procedure that uses concentrated light energy (lasers) to break down the ink particles in a tattoo so they can be absorbed and eliminated by the body’s immune system.

  • Multiple sessions are usually needed (typically 6–12 or more), depending on the size, color, age, and depth of the tattoo.

  • Darker inks, especially black and dark blue, are easiest to remove. Brighter colors like green, red, and yellow can be more resistant.

  • Pain level is often compared to getting a tattoo or having a rubber band snapped against the skin.

  • Side effects may include redness, swelling, blistering, scabbing, temporary skin discoloration, or, rarely, scarring.

  • Effectiveness varies—some tattoos may fade completely, while others may only partially disappear.
