MyoLift

MyoLift

MyoLift is a procedure using microcurrent with a device called MyoLift. When a MyoLift device is slowly moved over your entire face, it sends low-level electrical pulses through your skin and deep down into your muscles and connective tissues in a way that’s very similar to using weights at the gym. Once they’ve been stimulated, your muscles and connective tissues build up over time becoming more sculpted than before, leaving your skin looking tighter and smoother. Similar to a workout for your face, it sculpts, tightens, and smooths the other muscles throughout your body. As you age, your skin undergoes a radical transformation and both your collagen and elastin production decrease substantially over time. As a protein, collagen is responsible for providing support to all of the surrounding tissues. So, when collagen production in your skin starts to wane, you’ll notice more sagging and wrinkling in your face and neck. Elastin is also a protein, but its job is to help your skin resume its original shape after it’s been pulled and stretched. When you have less elastin, your skin can no longer bounce back from these events and your once tight skin starts to sag. The reason micro current facials work so well is because consistent sessions leads to the tightening of those same facial muscles which then boosts your natural collagen and elastin production—leaving the skin on your face and neck firmer, more elastic, and better hydrated than it was before. Plus, the MyoLift device also produces cellular energy, known as ATP. ATP—or Adenosine triphosphate—protects your skin from aging. So, using a micro current device regularly will help restore moisture and soothe the skin on your face helping you look younger and well-rested.

What is Microcurrent?

A small electrical current that can be used to stimulate natural processes in the body. 7E MyoLift Microcurrent Devices use microcurrent to stimulate the facial muscles beneath the skin to increase production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), Collagen, and Elastin.

What is ATP?

Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP): ATP is recognized as the "energy of life" and drives a number of biological processes like photosynthesis, muscle contractions / re-education, protein synthesis and membrane transport. In other words, cellular energy is produced by ATP and leads to overall cell function!

What type of results will I see?

Most of our users see results after their first treatment; however, results may vary. We recommend taking before/after photos and lifting half of your face to compare. Results are cumulative and optimal results are achieved with regular use. Typical results improve contour along the jawline and cheeks, improved skin tone, softer, firmer and smoother skin with a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

Can microcurrent replace areas where we have fat loss?

No, microcurrent cannot fill in the areas of fat loss on the face but we can tighten the skin around the area and help to make the area look less hollow.

Metallic taste in my mouth, is this normal?

Microcurrent can stimulate the nerves governing taste causing the metallic taste. This is not cause for concern and is normal for many customers. If the metallic taste persists you can rinse you mouth with water and it will go away.

Does Microcurrent Contract Muscle?

No.

Microcurrent is a low-level current that gently and passively stimulates the muscles, working at the sensory level. It is normal to not feel any sensation during your treatment. A slight tingling sensation may be felt in certain areas, due to the fact that facial sensitivity varies individually. You may get a metallic taste in your mouth area and see flashing lights around the orbital areas, which are perfectly normal and safe; lower or raise intensity to your needs.

Is Microcurrent For Me? Contraindications

Do NOT use Microcurrent If...

  • You are pregnant

  • Have had heart surgery in the past year

  • Have a pacemaker, metal implants or screws

  • Recent facial operation or procedure

  • All forms of “active” cancer (ok with note from doctor - No if on chemo or radiation)

  • Epilepsy, Diabetes, Heart Condition

  • Use of Retin-A (discontinue use three weeks prior to treatment)

  • Under the age of 18

Electrical Implant Such As Pacemaker

This is because the electrical devices use an electrical current that keeps the devices working. Since 7E MyoLift™ also uses an electrical current, it can interfere with the electrical signal of a pacemaker or cochlear ear implant. This is an FDA requirement.

Metal plates, Dental work or Piercings on the face?

We receive a lot of questions about the safety of using microcurrent facial technology on someone who has facial piercings, dental work or metal plates. Under these circumstances, microcurrent is still safe to use. In the case of facial piercings you may remove them for a more smooth facial or for peace of mind, but it is not necessary to do so.

How long is each treatment?

You need to allow about 45 minutes to one hour for your first initial treatment; an hour for following treatments and 30 minutes for maintenance treatments. You can customize your facials, at your discretion, depending on the modalities used.

I don't feel anything. Is that normal?

Yes. True Microcurrent uses less than 1000 microamperes and because of it's low intensity, it typically is sub-sensory and cannot cause a physical or visual manipulation (contraction) of the muscle via the electrical current. When using the MyoLift or MyoLift 600, as long as the conductivity bar is solid, the current is flowing.
