What inspired you to finally take the leap and open Blush Studios, and what did that moment feel like for you personally?
-
It was all about timing—pure and simple. Everything fell into place at the exact moment it needed to. Honestly, I wasn’t planning to do this anymore; I had already decided to let the idea go. Then one phone call changed everything. In that moment, it felt like a door I thought had closed suddenly opened again, and I knew I had to walk through it.

You’ve spent years building experience in the beauty industry — what lessons or values from that journey shaped the way Blush Studios operates today?
-
Over the years, the beauty industry has taught me some powerful lessons that shaped the way Blush Studios operates today. I’ve learned the importance of kindness, consistency, and truly listening to clients—not just to what they want done, but to how they want to feel. I’ve also learned that a strong team, built on trust and respect, is the foundation of any successful studio. Those values guide everything we do at Blush. We focus on creating a supportive environment, delivering quality work, and treating every client with genuine care. That combination is what makes our studio what it is—and what I’m most proud of

-
What does the name “Blush” represent to you, and how does that idea carry through the studio’s atmosphere and services?
-
To me, the name ‘Blush’ represents warmth, confidence, and that natural glow people feel when they’re truly comfortable and cared for. It’s that quiet moment of feeling seen, appreciated, and uplifted. We’ve carried that idea into everything we do at the studio—from the atmosphere to the way we treat our clients. Each space is designed to feel welcoming and calming, and our team works intentionally to make every person feel supported, valued, and celebrated. ‘Blush’ is more than a name—it’s the feeling we hope every client leaves with.
-
-
For someone walking into Blush Studios for the very first time, what do you hope they immediately feel?
-
For someone walking into Blush Studios for the very first time, I hope they immediately feel welcome and relaxed. I want them to sense right away that they’re in a comfortable, supportive space where they can breathe, unwind, and trust that they’re in good hands.

Blush offers more than just nails — how would you describe your overall approach to beauty and self-care?
-
At Blush, our approach to beauty and self-care goes far beyond nails. We focus on creating an experience that nurtures the whole person—mind, body, and confidence. To us, beauty isn’t just about the final result; it’s about the way you feel throughout the process. We want every service to be grounding, genuine, and uplifting. Whether someone comes in for nails, skin care, or any of our other services, our goal is to help them leave feeling renewed, supported, and a little more connected to themselves.

Why was it important to you to open Blush Studios locally, and what does being part of this community mean to you as a business owner?
-
It was important to me to open Blush Studios locally because this is home. I’m a local girl—born and raised right here in Greeley. My family has always lived here, worked here, and owned businesses here, so being part of this community is simply part of who we are. Opening Blush Studios in my hometown feels like a way to give back to the place that shaped me. It means a lot to contribute to a community that has supported my family for generations.
-
-
What has surprised you most since opening your doors — about your clients, the business, or yourself?
-
What has surprised me most since opening our doors is just how incredible our clients truly are. I always knew I had great clients, but the amount of support, encouragement, and help we received while getting everything up and running has been amazing and genuinely humbling. I also knew that growing from a single operation to multiple studios would be a big change—but I don’t think I fully understood just how much more it would really be. It’s been challenging, eye-opening, and incredibly rewarding.
-
-
Looking ahead, what do you hope Blush Studios becomes known for in this community over the next few years?
-
Looking ahead, I hope Blush Studios becomes known in this community for our kindness, exceptional service, and genuine care for everyone who walks through our doors. Although we are six individual studios working under one name, we operate as one united, dynamic team. Our goal is to ensure every client feels welcomed, supported, and treated with the highest level of respect and professionalism.

What first inspired you to pursue this part of the beauty industry, and what made you fall in love with it?
-
was inspired by the idea that hair has the power to change how someone feels about themselves. Early on, I realized it wasn’t just about style it was about confidence, expression, and connection. I fell in love with this industry because every day I get to create something with my hands while also connecting heart-to-heart with people. Over time, it became clear that this wasn’t just a job for me it was my passion.
-
How would you describe your approach or philosophy when working with clients?
-
My approach is rooted in listening, trust, and kindness. I believe every client deserves to feel seen, heard, and safe in my chair. I take the time to understand not only what they want visually, but how they want to feel when they leave. I treat each client with respect and care, knowing that sometimes the salon is more than a beauty appointment—it’s a place to breathe, talk, and be yourself.

-
What is your favorite service to provide, and why does it stand out to you?
-
Color work and bridal styling are my greatest passions. Color allows me to enhance someone’s natural beauty and personality, while bridal work is deeply meaningful because I get to be part of such a special, emotional moment in someone’s life. Both services combine creativity, trust, and transformation.
-
-
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Blush Studios team and environment?
-
Blush Studios feels like a true community. It’s a space filled with support, creativity, and mutual respect. I love being surrounded by talented women who lift each other up and encourage growth. The environment is welcoming and inspiring, and it allows me to show up as my authentic self while doing what I love.
-
-
What impact do you hope your work has on each client who sits in your chair?
-
I hope every client leaves my chair feeling more confident, cared for, and empowered than when they arrived. Beyond great hair, I want them to feel lighter—like they were listened to, valued, and genuinely cared for. If someone walks out smiling a little brighter or standing a little taller, then I know I’ve done my job.

What first inspired you to pursue this part of the beauty industry, and what made you fall in love with it?
-
My mother had a salon in our home, so she was truly the one who inspired me to join the beauty industry. I would sit for hours in her salon, working my magic on her mannequins—styling, talking, and completely immersed in that world. During my senior year of high school, I attended cosmetology school and joined my mother and her team the same year I graduated. I’ve been surrounded by the beauty industry my entire life, and I genuinely love everything about my profession.
-
-
How would you describe your approach or philosophy when working with clients?
-
I believe communication is key to creating the best possible experience for someone when they come into the salon and sit in my chair. Taking the time to listen, understand their needs, and set clear expectations helps ensure they feel comfortable, confident, and truly cared for throughout their service.
-
-
What is your favorite service to provide, and why does it stand out to you?
-
I don’t think I can pick just one service as a favorite. For me, it’s really about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where clients feel comfortable and safe. I want Blush to be a place where they can laugh or cry, share their triumphs and their struggles, and simply be themselves—all while getting their hair done.
-
-
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Blush Studios team and environment?
-
We have an incredible team at Blush Studios. Everyone brings their own ideas, talents, and unique skills to the salon, and together it creates something really special. There’s a genuine sense of camaraderie here, and my hope is that every client who comes in for a service can feel that energy the moment they walk through the door.
-
-
What impact do you hope your work has on each client who sits in your chair?
-
I hope that every client who sits in my chair leaves feeling refreshed, appreciated, and truly valued. More than just a great service, I want them to feel seen, heard, and cared for—confident not only in how they look, but in how they feel.
